Vic Xu (they/them) is a diasporic Chinese artist based between HangZhou, China and unceded Narragansett land, colonially known as Providence, USA. Rooted in photography, design, and film, their multimedia practice explores the tenderness and labor of remembering across family, migration, and communal care. Often drawing from personal archives and everyday ephemera, Vic transforms glimpsed histories into memory-objects—artifacts to live with, remember through, and dream alongside.

Their recent works center the interdependence required to hold fractured narratives, echoing a belief that memory is not static but relational, shaped by who we remember with.

Recent shows include Poems of Now at Galerie Kollaborativ in Berlin, Quantum Entanglement at ABI Space in HangZhou, and Outside the Lines at GRID Gallery in Providence. Their art books, zines, and films have been distributed internationally through Printed Matter LA Art Book Fair, Multiple Formats, QTZfest, and Seattle Asian American Film Festival.
